About Me

I just moved to Southern Vermont from Spokane, WA. I have lived all over the western US but this is my first time in the North East and I am so happy to be here! I love to cook, bake, make coffee and tea, garden, camp, hike, forage and swim! I am also trying to get back into reading frequently.

I grew up in The Black Hills of South Dakota with lots of younger kiddos around and was the designated babysitter for most of my childhood. I got my first real job at a restaurant when I was 14 and worked there until I graduated high school, after which I travelled full time all over the western US, working many seasonal jobs in restaurants, cafes, bakeries, farmsand in 3 different Conservation Corps where I learned how to do lots of new things like build hiking trails, plant trees, maintain campgrounds..etc.. Throughout all of this I was interested in both childcare and doula work - because of how many people I have met who felt like they were unprepared and unsupported in their experiences of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenthood. I finally began working as a full time nanny in 2022, as well as beginning my journey to becoming a doula. Over the past 2 years I have worked as a full time infant nanny to 4 wonderful families, and I have completed doula workshops through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University as well as the Full-Spectrum Doula and Childbirth Educator Trainings with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings.
