However and wherever you want to give birth, I will provide individualized support, care, and advocacy through each step of preparing for, experiencing, and reflecting on your birth.


Some examples of how I can help support you and your family include…

  • Gathering resources to help answer any questions you might have about pregnancy, birth, nursing…etc…

  • Assisting in writing a Birth Plan/Birth Preferences Guide to help you know your options and communicate your wishes efficiently to your care providers, and your close ones

  • Holding space for your feelings about your upcoming birth

  • Learning and practicing coping methods for labor

  • Physical support during labor - counter pressure, light massage, changing positions, nutrition and hydration….

  • Supporting you in your cultural and spiritual practices in the ways that I can

  • Working with and taking turns with your other support people so that they are able to rest

  • Helping partners/other support people learn how they can support and care for you

  • Caring for other children in the home so that the parent(s) can attend appointments, rest, or during birth for clients who don’t want birth support

  • Helping guide other children through this time of change

  • Assisting with delegating visits or meal trains from your community during pregnancy, an extended hospital stay, or postpartum

  • Discussing with those closest to the pregnant person their experiences and feelings during this time
